Articulation Agreements
are partnerships with other schools designed to make the transfer process as easy as possible. Once you apply, we will complete a course evaluation to see which of your credits at that school are transferable.
Core-to-Core Agreements
mean we will accept the general education credits completed for specific degrees from a community college.
Dual Admissions Agreements
mean you’re guaranteed admission to GMercyU when transferring into a designated major of choice as long as you meet the eligibility requirements that are clearly spelled out in the agreement. Students transferring under the Dual Admission program are also guaranteed scholarships! To participate, students need to complete a letter of intent.
Program-to-Program Agreements
are pathways, maps, or guides that indicate how the courses of an associate degree transfer to GMercyU’s major curriculum. These agreements provide guidance for the elective courses that students should complete in order to transfer in with junior-year status.
Signature Seminars are unique to GMercyU and undergraduate transfer students are required to take one of them (3 credits total). The Seminars range from a variety of topics and are taught by professors in multiple disciplines. GMercyU's core values of integrity, respect, service, and social justice are interwoven throughout each course. These inspiring, engaging courses underscore our University’s mission and commitment to making a difference and as such, most seminars from other institutions are not transferable to satisfy a GMercyU Signature Seminar.

Occupational Science major
Emma Spangler, a transfer counselor, showed me everything I needed to know — what classes would transfer, what classes I would have to take, and guided me through the whole process. All of the classes she said transferred, and I’m happy to be on my way to finishing my academic career at GMercyU.
Rebecca Synder '28
Biology major
The staff and faculty were incredibly supportive, helping me design a course schedule that fit my goals and showing genuine care for my success inside and outside the classroom. I chose GMercyU for its well-rounded Biology program. From the start, I felt welcomed by the community and made friends by stepping out of my comfort zone. The campus is peaceful and scenic, a perfect balance to the academic workload. Opportunities here are endless for those willing to take the first step.
Mark Guzman '27
Psychology major
[I'm] a Psychology major transferring from Montgomery County Community College. My experience at Gwynedd Mercy University so far has been amazing! From the faculty, class selection, classmates and campus, GMercyU is the place to truly immerse yourself in your field.
Chad Cummings '28
Sport Management major
I transferred from High Point University to be closer to home and join a community with strong academics and a great sports culture. Since arriving at GMercyU, I’ve joined the Sports Business Association and am looking to get involved in intramurals. I’ve really enjoyed how welcoming everyone has been. I love the tight-knit environment and the opportunities to connect with both students and faculty.
Jonathan Walsh '24
Former Montgomery County Community College student
When deciding to return to college, I was on the hunt for a school that would give me a solid cybersecurity education. GMercyU is a great choice for any degree because its primary focus is on preparing students for the workforce, regardless of their major.

Emily Murphy '25
Former student of another four-year university in Pennsylvania
GMercyU was transparent with my credits and course offerings. [Biology Program Director] Dr. McEliece laid out a detailed plan for me to finish up my coursework in the two years I was hoping for.
Meet Emily
Alexandra Poulter '24
Former Bucks County Community College student
[GMercyU] was more affordable compared to other private schools, and it supported commuters. What really sealed the deal was the small class sizes. I wanted to be able to really connect with my professors, and GMercyU could give that to me.
Meet Alexandra
Justin Henderson '23
Former Bucks County Community College student
I instantly fell in love with GMercyU; it was everything I wanted in a college. It was smaller in size, close to home, had a very nice campus, and provided a lot of great scholarship opportunities.
Meet Justin
Sierrah Wiszneski '24
Former Montgomery County Community College student
I have always heard that GMercyU had a good reputation. It is also a partner school with MCCC, and all of the classes I took transferred right over.
Meet Sierrah
Eduardo Moreno '22
Former Community College of Philadelphia student
The environment was unlike other campuses I had previously visited. The campus is surrounded by trees and gives you a sense of tranquility.
