Equality and diversity
We believe our people should reflect and understand the diverse society we serve.
Office of the
Public Guardian
Providing accessible services is important to us at the Office of the Public Guardian (OPG).
We work to ensure that our online information and services are as easy to use as possible, and that the letters and forms we send are clear and easy to read. You can find more information about OPG’s
accessible documents policy
on GOV.UK. This helps us meet our duties under the Equality Act 2010. It also means we are directly contributing to the
equality objectives
of the Ministry Of Justice.
We know that some people, including people with disabilities, may sometimes need help to contact us or use our services. We can make changes to the services we provide to make them accessible to you. For example, issuing lasting power of attorney forms in braille to support people with visual impairments or providing textphone services for people who have hearing difficulties. These are called ‘reasonable adjustments’.
Disabilities affect people differently, so we won’t always know what adjustment you need. If you think you need one, let us know when you get in touch. Try to explain how your disability affects you, giving as much information as you can. This will help our customer service advisors find the right way to support you.
