At Galen, we are committed to working closely with students and their families to provide financial support through various scholarship opportunities. Eligible students may qualify for one or more of the scholarships listed below:

Eagle Merit Scholarship
The Eagle Merit Scholarship is awarded to high-achieving students who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership, and financial need. This prestigious scholarship covers 50% of tuition costs and is designed for students who maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher while upholding the values of service, professionalism, and good citizenship.
Scholarship Requirements:
Maintain a minimum
3.0 GPA
.
Serve as a role model within the university and community.
Actively promote Galen University through social service, professional engagement, and good citizenship.
Complete 10 documented hours of work per week during the 14-week semester, gaining valuable hands-on experience and professional skills.
The Eagle Merit Scholarship not only provides financial support but also empowers students with meaningful work experience, preparing them for future success.
Eagle Athletic Scholarship
The Eagle Athletic Scholarship is awarded to student-athletes who demonstrate exceptional talent in their respective sports. This scholarship provides tuition coverage of up to 75%, supporting dedicated athletes in their academic and athletic pursuits.

Scholarship Requirements:
Recipients of the Eagle Athletic Scholarship must actively train and represent Galen University as part of their respective teams in both friendly and competitive matches. Athletes are expected to uphold the highest standards of sportsmanship, commitment, and excellence in their sport.

Dame Minita Gordon Scholarship
The Dame Minita Gordon Scholarship is a
full tuition-only
scholarship awarded
every two years
to an outstanding female student pursuing a
Bachelor’s in Secondary Education
at Galen University. This prestigious award honors Dame Minita Gordon’s legacy by supporting future educators dedicated to academic excellence and community service.
Eligibility Criteria:
Must have applied to
Galen University’s Bachelor in Secondary Education program
.
Must have obtained an
Associate Degree
with a
minimum 3.0 GPA
within the last
four years
.
Must submit
two detailed letters of reference
.
Scholarship Requirements:
Must be continuously enrolled in a
minimum of 9 credit hours
per semester.
Must maintain a
GPA of 3.0
throughout the program.
Must provide
documented service hours
to the university or local community.
Shortlisted candidates are required to attend an
interview
as part of the selection process.

George Price Scholarship
The
George Price Scholarship
is a
full tuition scholarship
awarded
every two years
to an outstanding
Public Officer
, honoring the legacy of the
Father of the Nation, Rt. Hon. George Price
. This prestigious award recognizes individuals who demonstrate exceptional dedication to
public service, nationhood, and national development
.
Eligibility Criteria & Requirements:
Must be an
outstanding public servant
who embodies
commitment to public service, nationhood, and national development
.
Must hold an
Associate Degree (A.Sc.)
with a
minimum GPA of 3.3
.
Must demonstrate
good governance, transparency, and high ethical standards
in the
Public Service
and the
community
.
Must serve as an
Ambassador for Galen University and the Public Service
, actively engaging in
community service
.
The recipient will be selected by a
scholarship committee
comprised of representatives from the
Ministry of the Public Service, Constitutional and Political Reform, the George Price Center, and Galen University
.

Other Scholarships
Ariel Rosado Scholarship
The Ariel Rosado Foundation provides scholarships at the Elementary, Secondary, and Tertiary levels, including opportunities for students at Galen University.
Selection Process:
Applications are reviewed and shortlisted by a selection committee, chaired by a Board Member and comprised of community representatives.
Shortlisted applicants must attend an interview with the selection committee.
The committee recommends recipients to the Board for final approval.
Application Timeline:
Varies based on the foundation’s schedule.
