LAE Tottenham is located in the Northumberland Park ward, which ranks among the top 2% most deprived areas in the country. Many of our students face significant financial hurdles, with over 50% living in households with an income of less than £28,000. Despite these challenges, our students consistently prove that background does not limit talent.
2025 Overall Outcomes
Our students continue to achieve exceptional results that rival the best schools in the country:
Average A Level Grade:
A
High Achievement:
56% of results were A*-A, with 23% of all grades being A*.
Elite Destinations:
70% of our most recent cohort won places at top-tier Russell Group universities.
Specialised Success:
26 Oxbridge offers and 22 placements in Medicine, Dentistry, and Veterinary Science.
Changing Local Landscapes:
Before we opened, only 2% of local students reached elite institutions; today, that figure has risen to 24% across the area.

The LAET Premium: Bridging the Gap
To provide an education that rivals the very best schools in the country, we invest an additional £1,800 in every pupil each year above the funding we receive from the government. This investment, which we call the “LAET Premium”, provides the extra staff, specialised equipment, and life-changing experiences that standard state funding does not cover. We are fundraising to sustain the four pillars of the LAET Premium:

We offer expert coaching for Oxbridge and elite apprenticeships, typically found only in the private sector. In 2025, this support led to 16 elite degree apprenticeship placements.
Case Study: Berenice’s Journey to Goldman Sachs
- For Berenice, a degree apprenticeship at a global investment bank initially felt "far-off". LAET’s Careers team helped her bridge the gap through skill-building and demystifying the industry. Today, she is an Operations Degree Apprentice at
Goldman Sachs
, earning a professional salary while the firm pays for her degree.
Case Study: Rayan’s Path to Cambridge Medicine
- Rayan credits LAET with giving her the confidence to believe she belonged at an elite institution. Through the Medical Society and professional-grade labs, she navigated the rigorous
Cambridge
interview process and is now a first-year medical student.
Enriched Academic Curriculum
While many schools cut creative subjects, we protect Music, Art, and Drama, providing professional-standard facilities and mentorship.
Case Study: Emmanuel’s Story (Music)
- Emmanuel joined LAET for its widely acclaimed academic success but also being drawn by its exciting brand new music department. Access to state-of-the-art facilities and support from both Royal Academy of Music (RAM) alumna Mrs Kennedy and Head of Department Mrs Rivlin helped push him to go onto greater heights with his music career. We are thrilled that he was awarded a prestigious scholarship to study jazz drums at the
Royal Academy of Music
for the 2025/26 intake.

Case Study: Ezel
- Ezel balanced five A-levels (achieving A*, A*, A, A and a B in her EPQ) with activities like Model United Nations and the Vocal Collective. These experiences helped her grow into a confident leader who performed at Southwark Cathedral. She is now studying Law at
LSE
and continues to give back to the school community as an alumna.
Mental Health and Wellbeing
We provide fast access to professional clinical counselling, ensuring a safety net that goes beyond standard offers.
Student Voice:
"The support I’ve received from the safeguarding team has been the main driving force behind my confidence in my exams and school life,"
says a Year 13 student who felt her individual needs were truly heard and factored into her educational approach.
