Tucked away from the busy streets of the city but long embedded in Cambridge’s intellectual heart, the Library is home to a physical collection of nearly ten million books, maps, manuscripts, photographs and priceless objects. Since its inception in 1416, the University Library has become a much-loved resource and refuge for the life of the mind. It’s a living place—and it continues to evolve.
