Helen M. Kirby Hall Centennial Capital Campaign
2024 marked the Centennial Celebration for Helen M. Kirby Hall, home to our current Kirby Hall School. The historic red brick building “on the hill” opened in 1924 as one of the first all-women’s dormitories for The University of Texas at Austin (UT).
It was named for Helen M. Kirby, a pioneer for women’s education and the first Dean of Women at UT.
Over the nearly 50 years since Kirby Hall School has been housed here, we have been witness to the natural wear and tear the building has endured over time. For this reason, we were delighted to launch the
Helen M. Kirby Hall Centennial Capital Campaign
to facilitate a subtle refresh while still staying true to the building’s unique and historic aesthetic.
Through the generous contributions from the donations of current and past friends, faculty and families of our Kirby Hall Community below, we were grateful to have raised
$82,364.25
. These funds will begin work on projects to both update and restore elements throughout the building starting in 2025.

General Giving
Apart from this year’s Centennial Capital Campaign, contributions towards Kirby Hall School’s General Fund are always welcome and greatly appreciated. These donations are used in a variety of ways to enhance learning, facilities, and our family and faculty experience.
Donations are accepted in any amount and are always tax-deductible. Corporate matching is also available if your employer is interested in making a gift towards supporting early childhood education.

Volunteering & KHS Parent Teacher Organization (PTO)
We offer many different opportunities for families to be involved with the school such as chaperoning on field trips, helping out during classroom or schoolwide events, or coming in to share a fun activity based on your cultural background or profession. Watch out for requests from your teachers on what they may need and check the weekly Friday newsletter for other volunteer requests. We are grateful for all who share their time and talents with our school community!

Helen M. Kirby Hall Centennial Capital Campaign
