Andrew Newell, Ph.D. is a staff scientist in Mechanistic Toxicology Branch, NIEHS Division of Translational Toxicology (DTT).
He specializes in developmental neurotoxicology and behavioral neuroscience. Andrew’s research focuses on the effects of early life exposures on the developmental trajectory of the nervous system, and how changes to fundamental neurodevelopmental processes impact behaviors relevant to neurodevelopmental disorders, especially cognition, learning and memory, and social interaction.
Andrew Newell received his B.S. in Biology from Union College and obtained a Ph.D. in Behavioral Neuroscience from University at Albany, State University of New York.
