Important Information
The University uses
Flywire
for students to make payments of international student tuition fees, accommodation costs and other charges. The University does
not accept cash payments or direct bank transfers
in any currency.
Please don’t put your money at risk by dealing with any payment providers, agents or intermediaries, who may offer seemingly attractive rates of exchange or incentives but cannot be guaranteed to be secure or legitimate.
As part of the UK’s anti-money laundering legislation, the University needs to understand where payments for tuition fees are coming from. This is why we no longer offer payment for tuition fees or accommodation charges by direct bank transfer.

Anti-money Laundering Regulations
Anti-money Laundering Regulation in the UK requires that the University must be ‘reasonably satisfied’ as to the identity of the student (and others) that they are engaging with in a contractual relationship.
This means that the University will undertake ‘know your customer’ checks using personal information including date of birth and home address. If payments are to be received from third parties - such as family members or sponsors - then there may be a need to provide additional documentation proving name, address and relationship to you.
Students are being approached by individuals offering to pay their fees at reduced rates or under special conditions. Fraudsters may present themselves as legitimate agencies or associates, they may be a friend. Never respond to these offers and
always pay your tuition fees direct to UWTSD using the authorised payment methods.
