TRIO Programs
TRIO Programs provide academic coaching and tutoring, financial aid guidance, mentoring and other support to foster educational access and retention. TRIO helps students overcome social and cultural barriers to higher education.
The TRIO Programs Office at Bowling Green State University comprises several educational outreach and academic enrichment programs designed to motivate and assist students to enter and succeed in higher education. Our target populations are students who are first-generation students who come from families with limited income. Participants are selected according to their potential for academic success.
TRIO offers several college and pre-college programs to help students to prepare and succeed in their education.
Pre-College
Programs
Pre-College Programs provide academic and financial guidance, mentoring and other support services. Our goal is help local high school students enroll in, succeed at and graduate from a college or university. Pre-College Program staff are not college recruiters.

Fundamental support and opportunities for participants to succeed in their precollege performance.
Educational Talent Search (ETS)
Assistance for individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds who have the potential to succeed in higher education.
