Address Confidentiality Program (ACP)
Application Process
Contact an Application Assistant.
Survivors will be referred to an Application Assistant. Application Assistants are located throughout the state in agencies and non-profit organizations that provide advocacy, counseling, referral, or shelter services to victims of sexual assault, domestic violence, trafficking, or stalking.
The Application Assistant will:
Review eligibility requirements and explain how the ACP works.
If eligible, work with survivors to incorporate the ACP into their overall safety plan.
Go over participant responsibilities while enrolled in the ACP.
Help applicants with completing the ACP application.
Forward the completed application to the ACP.
Once an application is received, ACP program staff thoroughly review it. If the application is complete, staff then certify the participants' enrollment in the program for the next four years. All certified participants are issued a Washington ACP authorization card and a program handbook that details how to use the substitute address effectively with government agencies.
