Student success and achievement are central to the mission of Wingate University to “develop educated, ethical, and productive global citizens.” The institution identifies, evaluates, and publishes goals and outcomes for student achievement appropriate to the institution’s

Wingate University uses a variety of metrics to gauge and monitor the success of its undergraduate student population. These outcomes are monitored in an ongoing fashion and are compared to a group of eleven comparable institutions. The primary measure used by Wingate University to track and monitor student success is the rate of program completion (graduation rate) at 150% of program length (6-years). In order to account for the diverse student body at Wingate University, graduation data is disaggregated by Financial Aid Award Type, Gender, and Race/Ethnicity.
In addition to the primary measure of program completion, the institution tracks first year retention as both an important point of intervention and as an early indicator of student success. For students who opt to leave the institution before completion of a degree, Wingate University tracks those who enroll in another institution of higher education and thereby hold potential to complete a degree. This data is combined with completion rate at 6-years as a single metric.
For undergraduate degrees that lead to professional licensure (nursing and degrees leading to an initial teaching license), Wingate University monitors passage rates on licensing examinations.
Wingate tracks undergraduate career outcomes via student and alumni surveys and third-party data sources. With a knowledge rate of 70.3%, Wingate's recent graduates' results are as follows:

Wingate graduates who are enrolled in graduate school are
pursuing
master’s- and doctorate-level programs in fields including, but not limited to, business (MBA), law, mental health counseling, public health, social work, sports management, and physical therapy.
The majority of Wingate University’s graduate programs are degrees leading to professional licensure. Passage rates on licensing examinations are used as a student success metric. Programs with professional licensure include: Doctor of Pharmacy (two examinations), Master of Physician Assistant Studies, Doctor of Physical Therapy, and Doctor of Occupational Therapy. Post-graduation employment rates are also tracked.
