Indeed, I didn't try to recompile pgmodeler

Hey anayrat. On my computer, pgmodeler is linked to the 2.14 version of libxml2. Are you sure you tried to recompile pgmodeler before trying to install libxml2-legacy ? Looks like you had pgmodeler compiled libxml2's previous (2.13) version, then upgraded, and then of course pgmodeler would refuse to start

Hello marco44,
I got this error while starting pgmodeler :
pgmodeler: error while loading shared libraries: libxml2.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
I had to install libxml2-legacy, then it worked.

@marco44, there's an obsolete comment
here
that you may wanna yank out the next time this is bumped!
It says:

And likely related, the source
pgmodeler.appdata.xml
is probably no longer needed because it's the same content as that PR, and is packaged in the upstream releases (
src
).

@marco44, sorry for taking so long to answer, i forgot to enable notifications. The version of libxml2 2.12.1-1. The build is failed with your fix.

1.0.6 failed to build with libxml2 2.12.0-1. Downgrading to 2.11.5-1 helped
