The number of visitors admitted with a family membership may vary depending on the zoo or aquarium visited.
Reciprocity may exclude special exhibits or events that require an additional fee.
Reciprocity does not limit the number of visits to any participating zoo or aquarium.
Please call each individual zoo/aquarium
BEFORE
your visit to confirm the latest details and restrictions.
AZA Reciprocal Admissions Program FAQ's
Why is my local zoo/aquarium not on the list?
Not every AZA-accredited zoo and aquarium participates in the AZA Reciprocal Admissions Program.
Some AZA-accredited zoos and aquariums that do not participate in the program may have individual reciprocity agreements with other AZA-accredited zoos and aquariums.
Contact your local zoo or aquarium to find out about any special discount agreements
Does my membership give me access to other local zoos/aquariums?
Zoos and aquariums that are in close geographic proximity to one another are not required to offer discounted admissions to each other's members. They may, however, offer an alternative discount.
"Close geographic proximity" is determined by each institution.
Contact your local zoo or aquarium to find out about any special discount arrangements
As an AZA Member, How can I access free/discounted admissions?
The AZA Reciprocal Admissions Program is not the same as the
AZA Free and Discounted Admissions Program
. AZA individual members have access to the Free and Discounted Admissions Program, a program intended to facilitate professional exchange between zoo and aquarium employees.
Please note that AZA does not offer memberships that provide discounts for the public - or, those who do not work in the zoological profession.
