    Where to meet:  The GPS pin will take you to the dirt parking area oceanside of Ermas/Alan Davis/Left Point.  Parking: Take the paved driveway down from the highway into the dirt parking area surrounded by boulders. Be careful of uneven terrain and rocks as you make your way to the end of the parking area.  THE ACCESS ROAD DOWN TO THE GRAVEL LOT IS UNEVEN AND REQUIRES ATTENTION, IT IS POSSIBLE TO NAVIGATE SAFELY.  PLEASE DO NOT TRY TO TURN AROUND ON THE PAVED ACCESS ROAD, YOU MAY DRIVE OFF THE ROAD, GET STUCK AND DAMAGE YOUR VEHICLE WHICH MAY REQUIRE A TOW TRUCK TO ASSIST AT YOUR COST.  We will gather on the park side of the concrete barriers, please go into the park from the parking area and look for the Orange Nissan Frontier with 808 Cleanups signage on it inside the park.

    Work priorities: Priority 1: Invasive species removal, digging up and cutting down invasive mangrove, kiawe, koa haole, chinese violets and buffel grass to make way for native plants. Priority 2: Moving the cut debris to other areas of the site for staging and drying.  Priority 3: Watering and weeding within the native planting zones.  Priority 4:  Litter removal along the coastline and trails.
     
    What to bring: Closed toe sturdy shoes or boots highly recommended as there are thorny trees, rocks and khaki weeds in the area.  Your choice of sun protection gear and a personal water bottle or flask. Jeans or other work pants recommended for invasive species removal.

    Coastal Restoration RSVP REQUIRED 

    Who: Join the 808 Cleanups ʻOhana and public for an afternoon of stewardship. Please note that this site is on a hillside, participants must be able to manage their safety working on uneven terrain. NOT RECOMMENDED FOR CHILDREN UNDER 16 due to the danger of the Highway. All participants will need to fill out the waiver form at www.808cleanups.org/waiver and will need to sign in on a physical sign in sheet at the event. 

    What: Invasive and non native plant removal, trash collection. Volunteers will engage in the cutting of koa haole and removal of stumps, as well as the removal of non native grass and others. There may be abandoned camp sites that we will address accordingly.
     
    Where: 21.321476, -157.673831 in Waimānalo. Parking along the mountainside of Kalanianaʻole Highway near the mile 7 marker. Look for the orange truck with the 808 Cleanups Signs.  

    Please have closed toe shoes, no slippers, and appropriate clothing that will keep you safe from overgrown bushes, bring water, bug spray or mosquito repellant and sun protection as needed. 808 Cleanups will provide the work supplies. 

    Sign off of volunteer hours available through Kimeona for this work day. Please note that this event requires us to cross the Kalanianaʻole Highway. Participants will be expected to comply with site supervisor instructions regarding traffic safety.

    Aloha and mahalo for joining us in the restorative stewardship of this cultural site in Waimānalo. Who:  All are welcomed to participate.  What: Please join us for some coastal restoration in beautiful Waimānalo. This Native Hawaiian cultural site is known as Muliwaiʻōlena and has a rich history in the old days of Waimānalo. Our primary focus will be to remove invasive plants along the coastline allowing us to reintroduce native plants back into the environment. There is also a need to remove trash and marine debris from the coastline as needed and along or in the water way. Where: Parking will be in the Waimānalo Camp Ground Parking Lot.  From there, if you are facing the ocean, you will walk to your right, through the camp ground area, south towards Makapuʻu.  You should see the Hale Waʻa, or canoe house at the camp ground as well, it should be on your right as you walk towards the site.  Continue until the Iron Wood tree line, and down into the water way.  We will be set up on the far end of the bank.  Look for orange shirts.  When: 03:30 PM to 05:30 PM.  How:  Supplies will be provided to do the work necessary. Please ensure that you have appropriate closed toe shoes, as slippers are not recommended. Sun protection is highly recommended and please bring your own hydration.     Who: Join the 808 Cleanups ʻOhana and public for an afternoon of stewardship. Please note that this site is on a hillside, participants must be able to manage their safety working on uneven terrain. NOT RECOMMENDED FOR CHILDREN UNDER 16 due to the danger of the Highway.     Where to meet:  The GPS pin will take you to the paved parking area closest to the site.  However, if parking is difficult, you may consider parking in other areas of the park.  Please look for the Orange Nissan Frontier with 808 Cleanups signage and gather near the large monkeypod tree closest to the Pavillion.

    Work priorities: We will be removing nonnative grass and shrubs, collecting trash, and potentially planting native plants!
     
    What to bring: Closed toe sturdy shoes or boots highly recommended as there are thorny trees, rocks and khaki weeds in the area.  Your choice of sun protection gear and a personal water bottle or flask. Jeans or other work pants recommended for invasive species removal.
