We are Clinton County, New York’s museum.
We preserve and protect the heritage of Clinton County’s residents.
The Museum
The museum is located on Plattsburgh’s Old Base Museum Campus, with four galleries, a gift shop, and a research library. The museum is open Wednesday through Saturday, 10 am to 3 pm, as well as by appointment.

Bluff Point Lighthouse
Located on Valcour Island, it overlooks the site of the most important naval battle of the American Revolution. It was placed into service to guide ships through the channel running between Valcour Island and the New York shore.

Support the preservation and educational work of the Clinton County Historical Association through an annual contribution. Members receive a 10% discount on books published by the Association, access to the research library, and the Association’s newsletter, North Country Notes.
