Join the Central Florida Hokies for a community park clean up. Please
dress appropriately as volunteers will be working outside. Closed-toed shoes, sunscreen, bug spray, a hat, and a refillable water bottle are recommended. Stick around after the community cleanup and join us for lunch (self-pay). We'll confirm where we're meeting that morning.

The Charleston Hokies are partnering with East Cooper Habitat for Humanity for the third year in a row to help with foundational work at one of the new home sites. The job site will have two veteran cottages located on it and we will help with the beginning stages of the first home. Be sure to wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty and closed-toe shoes.

D.C. Hokies Park Cleanup in Annandale

Details:
Join the D.C Hokies to save trees in our local park from various vines and berries — no experience necessary! You will help contain tree loss in this special park and learn useful, simple skills to use at home to save your own trees. Bring work gloves, pruners, loopers, or saws if you have them! Dress for the weather and elements — long sleeves, long pants, and closed-toed shoes are recommended. Kids ages 12 and older are welcome to volunteer with adult supervision.

D.C. Hokies Park Cleanup in Arlington

No experience necessary! If you have work gloves, please bring them with you. There will be extra on hand if you do not have any work items. First State Hokies Watershed Cleanup

Join the First State Hokies and hundreds of volunteers to help clean the single most important natural resource in our region, the Christina River Watershed. Volunteers should dress for the weather. Wear long pants, brightly colored shirts with long sleeves, and boots or water resistent shoes. Make sure to also bring a hat, heavy duty gloves, insect repellent, and sunscreen. Volunteers under the age of 16 must have an adult chaperone. Afterwards, we'll gather at The Legend Restaurant and Bakery for lunch.

Join First State Hokies to lend a hand at the Milton Healthy Pantry Center. Together, we'll greet pantry customers, assist them in making food selections, and help them through the check-out process. We have also donated paper goods and supplies to keep the kitchen stocked with essential needs.

Join the New England Hokies for a morning of service with Cradles to Crayons, a nonprofit serving the needs of children with clothing insecurity. With the help of volunteers, clothing packages from The Giving Factory
are distributed to local children. The New England Hokies will help by checking, sorting, packing, and preparing donated clothing for distribution to kids in the Boston Metro area.

The Palmetto Hokies will be volunteering at South Carolina's largest food bank. Volunteers should wear comfortable clothing suitable for bending and lifting and closed-toed shoes (Crocs are not allowed). Other requirements include no jeans with frays or holes, no loose hanging jewelry, no clothing with inappropriate language or imagery, and no see-through clothing. The chapter will meet up to watch the Virginia Tech Spring Game afterward!

We'll build soil, prepare vegetable beds, plant vegetable starts and seeds, weed, compost, harvest, wash produce, and distribute produce to the community food bank and other locations. All gardening skill levels welcome — you'll learn as you go and
build knowledge we can use again next year! Bring a water bottle, snacks/lunch, and clothes meant for working in all weather, including a raincoat, warm socks, closed-toe shoes, and a hat.
