To-do

Following is a list of features planned for future versions of chime:

  • Group chat: Support chat-rooms that multiple people can join.
  • Allow temporary messaging authorizations. Example: You message somebody who usually cannot send a message to you, but you want to hear a reply from them. Allow them to reply to just that message.
  • Create configuration reader implementation that uses a database as the back-end.
  • Implement additional authentication mechanisms.
  • i18n for server messages, and, possibly, for svcbot/adminbot commands.
  • Persistent off-line message storage.
  • Allow servers to be linked up with each other.
  • GUI for viewing log files.
