Community Accelerator Program

Engaging Community. Expanding Visibility. Elevating Research.

Global connections emerge through people and collaborations. The Community Accelerator Program (CAP) is built in the belief that all scholars—students, early-career faculty, and senior researchers—are the foundation of the globally-relevant academic community.

Our Vision for a Global Academic Environment

  • Local Scholarship strengthens global standards.
  • Institutions are connected through relationships.
  • Management Knowledge reflects the true diversity of the world it serves.
  • Global Communities are accessible to all, regardless of geography or institutional status.

The Community Accelerator Program is all about shared ownership. The spirit of co-creation is possible because of our volunteers—AOM members who have stepped forward to mentor, plan sessions, provide workshops, and ensure the program reflects regional priorities and perspectives.

Tammy Madsen
AOM President

Community Accelerator Program recognizes that access to global communities should not depend solely on institutional status. When individuals are supported, connected, and welcomed, entire institutions, regions, and the global community benefits.

CAP Powers Local and Regional Communities

Local, national, and regional academic communities strengthen the profession. CAP connects local academic communities to become powerful bridges—amplifying individual voices and expanding collective capacity.

These communities:

  • Nurture emerging scholars
  • Provide culturally and linguistically accessible entry points to global engagement
  • Promote locally-grounded research that enriches global knowledge
  • Foster peer support, mentorship, and shared professional identity
