This page contains supplemental information and guidance from the Construction and Valuation Section (C&V) on VA Loan Guaranty Program property requirements and appraisal issues.
Lenders:
Submit
your question to a C&V representative at the VA Central Office. Please include in the subject line "General Question". Questions will generally be answered in 4 business days.
Builder Registration
: The builder registration link will provide information on builder certification, and the required forms necessary to obtain a VA Builder ID number. This ID is required in order to sell properties with VA financing. The Builder ID is issued when the required builder information is received and registered with VA.
Registered Builders, Condominiums
: This will bring you to the Veterans Information Portal, and based on your credentials you will be able to access the Lists of VA Registered Builders and VA approved Condominiums across the U.S.
Appraisal Fees and Timeliness
: A list by state, which shows appraisal fees and timeliness schedules, specific to a locality.
VA Wood-Destroying Insect Information
: A list by state, which shows VA’s wood-destroying information requirements for all states.
