Crafting Democratic Futures
Crafting Democratic Futures
The
Center for Social Solutions
at the University of Michigan, with funding from the Mellon foundation from 2021-2025, launched the
Crafting Democratic Futures
(CDF) project to produce suggestions for research-informed, community-led local reparations solutions. The Lead Principal Investigator, Dr. Earl Lewis, assembled a national CDF network, including partners from Carnegie Mellon, Emory, and Rutgers (Newark) universities; Concordia (Moorhead, MN), Connecticut, Spelman, Wesleyan (Macon, GA), and Wofford (Spartanburg, SC) colleges; Pittsburgh’s public media flagship, WQED [Multimedia]; and the University of Michigan campuses. Presented here are various reports and reflections produced by CDF partners.
