Dance
Learning and creating contemporary dance performance pieces is the main focus of the Nichols dance program. Students study the foundations of modern dance, ballet, improvisation and composition. Guest teachers often share their unique perspectives and styles with the students. We value the students’ contributions to the cultural life of the school and encourage performances as part of morning meetings and special all school assemblies.
Students are encouraged to collaborate and choreograph their own dances. Middle and Upper School students come together for performances each year.
