Public Data Release 1 (To be released mid 2026)
This release consists of all science quality HETDEX data observed between 20170101 until 20240731. Observations are delivered in 3D datacubes. In total, 431K datacubes are included in the release and can be accessed from our data mount or within our HETDEX JupyterHub (see instructions below).
Notebooks at
demonstrate how to query the data release and download datacubes of interest. The datacubes are password protected and only available for internal use.

HETDEX Jupyter Lab
When the HETDEX Public Data is released, the public may gain access to HETDEX Public data products and public catalogs using the Texas Advanced Computing Center (
TACC
) Jupyter Lab service. A
TACC account
is required to sign up.  This will give you open access to the HETDEX Public JupyterHub. Note that no other TACC resources may be accessed without a project allocation and you must download interested data products and save your work on your local machine.
