OCCUPATIONAL
INJURIES, ILLNESSES, AND FATALITIES
The Data
Each year, the Delaware Department of Labor partners with the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) to collect and publish data on workplace injuries, illnesses, and fatalities.
The Survey of Occupational Injuries and Illnesses (SOII) and the Census of Fatal Occupational Injuries (CFOI) reports help employers, employees, and safety professionals understand trends and improve workplace safety across the state.
Note:
Beginning in 2021, BLS changed the publication schedule for case and demographic estimates (e.g., injury type, occupation), to biennial publication. Industry estimates continue to be released annually.
