DC Fusion Center
The District of Columbia Fusion Center (“DC Fusion Center”)—based in the District of Columbia’s Homeland Security and Emergency Management Agency (HSEMA)—is a 24/7/365 all-hazards fusion center which provides situational awareness and strategic analysis of regional threats and hazards while enhancing value-added information sharing among our vetted stakeholders. The DC Fusion Center is comprised of HSEMA situational awareness and strategic intelligence personnel, the DC Department of Transportation’s Traffic Management Center, as well as other District and Federal liaison officers to maximize the District and regional stakeholders’ abilities to
detect, prevent, interdict
, and
respond
to all regional threats and hazards.
The DC Fusion Center staff actively participate in various committees and subcommittees in the
Metropolitan Washington Councils of Government
and is a member of the
National Fusion Center Association
The DC Fusion Center was designated on April 1, 2012, by Mayor’s Order 2012-37, and is recognized by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
The DC Fusion Center is governed by a privacy, civil rights and civil liberties protection policy to promote conduct that complies with applicable federal, state and local law. The DC Fusion Center does not seek or retain any information about individuals or organizations solely based on their religious, political or social views or activities; their participation in a particular noncriminal organization or lawful event; or their race, ethnicities, citizenships, places of origin, ages, disabilities, genders or sexual orientations. No information is gathered or collected by the DC Fusion Center in violation of federal or state laws or regulations.
