Digital Cinema – Minor
Digital Cinema, Minor
Offered as a Secondary Discipline Minor
The Digital Cinema Minor is designed to serve students in a variety of fields. This minor emphasizes the hands-on creative production skills of audio recording, videography, and video editing, along with a foundation in storytelling, film analysis, and history of cinema. Students learn about the organization of the film and television industry and learn to use sound and light in design.
The minor is highly flexible to student interests. After completing core courses, students may choose from any remaining Digital Cinema courses to fulfill their elective requirement. Elective options include Directing for the Screen, Screenwriting I & II, Entrepreneurial Producing, Film Festival Programming & Promotions, and a variety of Theory & Practice courses among others.

The Digital Cinema Minor is useful to students in a variety of fields. This minor emphasizes the hands-on skills of film and television production, along with the theory, criticism, history, and analysis of digital cinema.
Degree Roadmap
Digital Cinema Minors will complete 30 credits in the Digital Cinema program. This minor involves a core curriculum, as well as electives drawn from Digital Cinema and other programs across campus.
