Overview
Joy of Life Season 2 is a 2024 Chinese mainland historical fantasy drama series directed by Sun Hao and written by Wang Juan. The series is adapted from Mao Ni's bestselling novel of the same name and serves as the sequel to the 2019 hit drama Joy of Life. Plot

He works to protect his family and friends while investigating the secrets left behind by his mother, Ye Qingmei. As the plot deepens, Fan Xian gradually uncovers the truth about his origins—he is actually the illegitimate son of Emperor Qing (played by Chen Daoming).
With the covert assistance of Chen Pingping (played by Wu Gang), the head of the Surveillance Bureau, Fan Xian gradually dismantles the Second Prince's influence while also uncovering a larger conspiracy within the Qing court.
