The Legend of Shen Li (Chinese: 与凤行) is a 2024 Chinese xianxia romance drama directed by Deng Ke, starring Zhao Liying and Lin Gengxin. This 39-episode series, adapted from Jiu Lu Fei Xiang's novel, aired on Hunan TV and Tencent Video beginning March 2024.
With a Douban rating of 7.2, it shattered platform viewership records upon debut. Zhao Liying and Lin Gengxin reunited on screen for the first time since Princess Agents, generating enormous anticipation.
Plot Summary
Shen Li (Zhao Liying), the warrior princess of the spirit realm, rebels against a political marriage and flees — only to be struck down to the mortal world in the form of a featherless phoenix. There she encounters Xingzhi (Lin Gengxin), who appears to be an ordinary man but is actually the last surviving ancient god.
Xingzhi lives a carefree life in the mortal realm, hiding his immense power and the burden of protecting the three worlds. As Shen Li and Xingzhi fight evil and uncover hidden truths together, they fall deeply in love.
But a relationship between a god and a spirit princess is fraught with obstacles. The safety of the three worlds, the laws of heaven, and the weight of destiny push their love to the brink again and again.
