4-H Teen Council
We have a fun and industrious group of teens working towards bettering their community and themselves. Members of the teen council participate in service projects, group activities, and in helping younger 4-H members. If you are interested in joining, applications are accepted from September 1st to October 1st of every year. Contact our office for more information. 435-738-2133.

4-H Horse Program
This program is for all youth interested in caring for, showing, and learning about horses. Members of this group can participate in horse shows held throughout the summer. We have two horse clubs The Neola Horse Club and the Duchesne Dustbusters. Contact our office for more information. 435-738-2133.

The USU Extension office in Duchesne County offers a wide range of materials and resources related to livestock, crops, soils, agriculture profitability, weed control, farm and ranch management, range, home horticulture, gardening, insects and water management.
Duchesne County is located in the Uintah Basin in the eastern part of Utah. Its agricultural base is mainly made up of cattle, hay and sheep.
The base includes:
30,651 head of beef cows
7,525 head of sheep
46,079 acres of hay
3,309 acres of corn
The the average annual total value of crops and livestock products produced is $46,047,000.

Whether you are a new or experienced canner, you have come to the right place. At Utah State University Extension o
ur goal is to provide home canning resources so that your experience is satisfying and leaves you with the assurance that the food you preserve at home is safe and the highest quality possible.
It is suggested to test your canner lid yearly, if you would like us to test your canner lid. This can be done at our new Duchesne Office during normal office hours, please call
