Funding Resources
While CNM Ingenuity’s programs are not eligible for traditional financial aid, there are other funding sources available. Learn more about these funding opportunities and qualify below.
Training For Your Future Funds
Tuition assistance is available for individuals to participate in Ingenuity workforce training opportunities, with the exception of Cannabis Industry Training. Applications will be considered based on individual financial need or alignment of the training with the economic development priorities of the City of Albuquerque and the State of New Mexico.
Who Qualifies
Successful applicants applying based on financial need or economic impact will provide detailed responses to the application questions and will make a strong case as to how this opportunity will contribute to their career goals or will contribute to New Mexico’s economy.
Residents of New Mexico will receive preference in both enrollment and financial assistance. Those who have previously received funding from Ingenuity to participate in training may only be eligible for additional training if they are part of a training plan approved by Ingenuity staff.

Job Training Albuquerque (JTA)
Job Training Albuquerque
(JTA) is a workforce development program that provides opportunities for the local workforce to gain necessary skills in order to fill skill gaps and meet the workforce needs.
Who Qualifies:
Organizations registered as a for-profit or not-for-profit entity in NM, headquartered in Albuquerque city limits, with less than 500 employees. For application information and additional requirements, please visit

Bosomworth Scholarship
Scholarships through the Bosomworth Workforce Scholarship Endowment are available for learners enrolling in a CNM Ingenuity program. Scholarships are limited to one program per student, up to $500.
Who Qualifies:
Must be a New Mexico resident with a minimum of two (2) years post-high school work experience.

McCorkle Workforce Training Center Scholarship
Need-based scholarships for CNM Ingenuity programs through the Cathy and Sherman McCorkle Workforce Training Center Endowment, up to $500.
Who Qualifies:
Learners who have a sincere desire to improve skills for better earning potential and career opportunities.

Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA)
The federal Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) is legislation that is designed to strengthen and improve our nation’s public workforce system and help get Americans, including youth and those with significant barriers to employment, into high-quality jobs and careers and help employers hire and retain skilled workers. WIOA funding provides training funds for jobs in demand.

Who Qualifies
Residents of New Mexico who meet the WIOA requirements. This generally includes those who are unemployed or underemployed.
Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act
Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR)
The New Mexico Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR) provides assistance for those who have an impairment that “constitutes a substantial impediment to employment.” Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) is a state- and federally-funded program designed to help eligible individuals with documented disabilities find suitable employment. VR is a voluntary program and services persons who want to work. With a long history of success and proven methodology for making the best fits, time and again, DVR is committed to helping clients succeed.

Residents of New Mexico who meet the DVR requirements. This generally includes those with documented disabilities.
Division of Vocational Rehabilitation
Trade Adjustment Assistance
The Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA) program is a federally-funded program created to assist workers dislocated due to foreign imports or the transfer of production to Mexico or Canada. The program offers great benefits, including money for retraining and reimbursement of job search and relocation expenses.

Residents of New Mexico who meet the TAA requirements.

CNM Ingenuity encourages responsible borrowing. We cannot assist in a loan application, nor do we endorse any of these companies. These are simply a few options that you might want to consider if all other options have been exhausted.  To be eligible for these loans, students will be asked to complete the appropriate year FAFSA at
