Laney Graduate School
The
LGS Professional Development and Career Planning (PDCP) office
is the primary career support office for Laney Graduate Students. This office offers career coaching, workshops, and online platforms specifically tailored to Laney master’s and PhD students.
In addition, Career and Professional Development (CPD) offer support and resources that can be helpful to LGS students.
Handshake is CPD’s system to search for jobs and internships and register for employer-hosted informational and recruiting events. Over 40% of Handshake’s job and internship listings are for graduate students.
All active Laney graduate students have access to Handshake.

Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing
The Office of Career Services at the School of Nursing
is the primary career support office for School of Nursing students. They offer a variety of services such as:
Connecting with recruiters from across the country
Guidance for resume and cover letter writing
Teaching effective job search and networking strategies
Demonstrating successful interviewing techniques
Conducting mock interview sessions
All active nursing students have access to Handshake.

Career Services at the Candler School of Theology
is the primary career support office for Candler students.
All active Candler students have access to Handshake.

The followings schools do
not
receive access to the CPD’s services, resources, or Handshake system. Connect with the Career Services office of your respective school or college down below.
If you’re unsure which office supports your program, we recommend checking your school’s website or reaching out to your academic advisor or program coordinator for help connecting to the right resource.
The schools can still use Handshake’s
Open Network
to view public jobs and events. Follow the instructions on how to create an account on Handshake’s

How to Create a Handshake Account
Without a School Affiliation
Go to go to the
Handshake login page
and enter your email
Next, click the “Continue without a school” link to proceed with the registration process.
Choose Your Login Method
Continue with Email: Create a password to log in with your email.
Sign in with Google or Apple: Skip the email/password setup by logging in with your Google or Apple account. Click the Sign in with Google
or Sign in with Apple button on the registration page, follow the prompts, and your account will be automatically created.
