Health Care Heroes of the Civil War
Health Care Heroes of the Civil War
Just as we’re indebted to and strive to honor our health care heroes today, there were many in the Civil War who worked to help those in need of care. From doctors to nurses and more, there were people providing excellent care on the front lines at field dressing stations and field hospitals as well as behind the lines in the more permanent general hospitals. Check out the short biographies of Civil War health care workers who laid the foundations for today’s health care heroes.
