LIRS is now Global Refuge. New name, same mission. Welcoming Newcomers since 1939.
We're thrilled to embark on a new chapter as we celebrate our 85th year. The decision to rebrand as Global Refuge was rooted in the immense need for compassionate support of people seeking safety. With more than 100 million people displaced worldwide by war, persecution, and disasters, our mission of providing the "long welcome" is more critical than ever.
As we build a bigger table of supporters with this new identity, we remain steadfast in our core vision: to cultivate a world of just and welcoming communities.
