Turkish Language Program
ARIT fellowships for participation in Boğaziçi University’s Turkish Language and Culture Program
For summer 2025, 17 students participated in the program of intensive classes and enrichment activities at Boğaziçi University in Istanbul.
Collaborations
ARIT in collaboration with five other Turkey-based research centers have undertaken
The Feriköy Protestant Cemetery Initiative
.  The project aims to preserve, document, and study Istanbul’s main Protestant cemetery as an important local historic landmark.

ARIT NEH research fellow Dr. Leyla Kayhan Elbirlik, analyzing research data from her home office in Istanbul, summer 2020.  Her project,
Negotiating Matrimony: Marriage, Divorce, Children and Property in Istanbul, 1750-1920
, focuses on the history of the marital bond in the late 18th to early 20th-century Ottoman Istanbul.
