The County Coroner conducts investigations concerning the circumstances surrounding the deaths of individuals and gathers and reviews background information, including, but not limited to, medical information and any other information that may help determine the cause and manner of death.

Sheriff
The Yell County Sheriff is responsible for managing the Yell County Sheriff’s Department, which has law enforcement jurisdiction throughout Yell County, as well as the county jail, the Juvenile Detention Center, and court security and bailiff services, along with serving civil papers.
