Conservation Reserve Enhancement Program
MN CREP is a voluntary, federal-state funded natural resource conservation program that uses a sciencebased approach to target environmentally sensitive land.
Landowners enroll in the federally-funded Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) for 14-15 years.
The same land is also enrolled into a state-funded perpetual conservation easement through the Reinvest in Minnesota (RIM) Reserve program, administered by the Minnesota Board of Water and Soil Resources (BWSR).

Vision Statement
The Swift Soil and Water Conservation District will be an organization that is governed by an engaged board who provides the resources and guidance to staff that are of sufficient number and have the requisite skills to meet current and future conservation needs for the people of Swift County.  As the conservation district exists to meet the conservation needs for the people of Swift County, the SWCD board and staff will have a mutually supportive relationship with the county board of commissioners and county staff within the appropriate departments related to conservation.
