About
family homelessness
Every family deserves a safe and
stable home
Many mistakenly believe that only single adults experience homelessness. The reality is that on any given night in the United States, nearly 60,000 families experience homelessness. The causes and impacts of—and solutions to ending—family homelessness also differ from those of single adults. Homelessness disrupts every aspect of a family’s life and is a source of enduring trauma. Among other things, it interferes with the education and development of our youngest community members, our children.
