Background on the Homeowner Assistance Fund
On March 11, 2021, President Biden signed the historic
American Rescue Plan Act
that included the Homeowner Assistance Fund (HAF). The State of Washington will receive $173,153,935 from HAF.
The U.S. Department of the Treasury (Treasury) is administering these funds and requires each state to submit a Homeowner Assistance Fund Plan. The WHSFC Board of Commissioners approved Washington's plan on March 24, 2022.
