Admissions Process
Ravenscroft is committed to our students’ success and our families’ satisfaction. To ensure that your student’s admission is a good fit and in keeping with our mission, vision and values, all applications are reviewed and assessed by considering the following factors:
Developmental readiness, or level of academic achievement, of the applicant
Evidence of the applicant’s potential for success in our college-preparatory program
Evaluation of the applicant’s interpersonal skills and ability to adjust to the Ravenscroft community
Evidence of parental cooperation and support
Applying to Ravenscroft takes just a few steps, outlined below. Please be sure to note the dates and deadlines so your student’s application process is a smooth and efficient one.

The first step to a Ravenscroft education is beginning your application in the
admissions portal
.  The portal will keep track of your entire application process and allow you to easily pay application fees.
Application Fees
All Grades: $70
Once the application fee is received, your admissions checklist will be available in the portal and your admissions coordinator will contact you.
Begin Application
Applicants will need to complete their admissions checklist completely.
Below you will find grade-level-specific checklists to follow as well as required screening and testing.
Applicants to PreK and Kindergarten

1. Attend PreK/K group applicant visit.
2. Submit the Teacher Observation form to your child’s current teacher.
3. Submit Parent Questionnaire.
4. Provide an applicant photo.

2. Submit the Teacher Observation form to your child’s current teacher.

4. Provide an applicant photo.
5. Submit School Records Release Form to your child’s current school.
1. Attend classroom visit day.
2. Admissions Testing: See the screening and testing section below.
3. Submit two teacher recommendation forms - one to your child’s current teacher and one to your child’s teacher from the previous year.
4. Submit Parent Questionnaire.
5. Provide an applicant photo.
6. Submit School Records Release Form to your child’s current school.
1. Submit the Parent Questionnaire.
2. Submit the Student Questionnaire.
3. Provide an applicant headshot photo.
4. Submit the Transcript/Report Card Request Form to the student’s current
school.
5. Submit the Teacher Recommendation Forms to the student’s current English and math teachers.
6. Admissions Testing: See the screening and testing section below.
7. Attend a Student Visit Day.
8. Student interviews will be conducted during the Student Visit Day.
Contact your admissions coordinator for accommodations if you are not a local family.
9. Once available in January, submit a copy of the first semester or first trimester report card from the current year.
Applicants to Grade 1
Applicants to Grades 2-12
Applicants to first grade are administered a combination of grade-appropriate assessments during their Student Visit Day.
Testing is required for all applicants for grades 2-12. There are two testing options available. We will accept test scores from the two options listed below if testing was completed within the past 12 months. Otherwise, an updated test score will be required.

SSAT
(Secondary School Admissions Test)
Applicants to grades 3-12
Students may take the exam anywhere it is offered.
All scores must be received by Jan. 23, 2026, to be included for first consideration.
