The Visit
by Friedrich Dürrenmatt
directed by Sunghyun Lim
Synopsis
Once a thriving town, Güllen has fallen into severe economic decline. The town is on the verge of bankruptcy, and no one visits – the train doesn’t even stop there. The arrival of a very important visitor throws the town into sudden excitement. The visitor, Claire Zachanassian, is a billionaire who was born in Güllen but left many years ago. Now immensely wealthy, she returns to her hometown for the first time since her departure. The townspeople eagerly hope her visit will save their struggling community.
