Illuminate Entrepreneurship Workshop: Inspiring Young Innovators at Apeejay Stya University

The Illuminate Entrepreneurship Workshop was successfully organized by the E-Cell of Apeejay Stya University on 16th October 2025. The event commenced with participant registration followed by the formal inauguration.
The workshop began with a welcome and brief introduction by the emcee, followed by the welcoming of the invited speaker, Mr. Vipin Aggarwal — Revenue Head at Rivigo, Mentor at E-Cell IIT Bombay & MDI Gurugram, Former Director at OYO, and Founding Team Member of Zoom.
A Lamp Lighting Ceremony was held in the presence of the Dr. Pardeep Kumar, Registrar, Prof. Sanjay Ahirwal (DSW), and Deans of various schools. This was followed by a welcome address by Ms. Anjali Dagar, President of the E-Cell, and a formal introduction of the speaker.
The workshop consisted of two sessions:
Session I  – Focused on entrepreneurial mindset, innovation, and start-up opportunities.
Session II – Included interactive discussions, idea-sharing, and practical insights from the industry expert.
The session concluded with a felicitation ceremony for the invited speaker by Prof. Sanjay Ahirwal (Dean, Students’ Welfare) and Dr. Sonam Raheja (Faculty Coordinator, ASU E-Cell). A vote of thanks was delivered by Ms. Anushka Saxena, Vice President of the E-Cell, marking the successful completion of the event.
The workshop proved to be highly engaging and insightful, providing students valuable exposure to real-world entrepreneurship and innovation.

Ms. Shilpa Chaudhary is an academician, researcher, and pharmacovigilance professional with over 10 years of experience in industry (pharmaceutical R &D), clinical research and drug safety monitoring. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. at Delhi Pharmaceutical Sciences & Research University (DPSRU), New Delhi.
She is presently working as an
Assistant Professor at Apeejay Stya University

(Pharm) in Pharmacoinformatics from NIPER Hajipur in collaboration with RMRIMS, Patna (ICMR Unit). With over 13 years of academic and research experience, her primary expertise lies in Computer-Aided Drug Design (CADD) and Pharmaceutical Chemistry.
Dr. Mansuri has an h-index of 13 and has authored more than 40 peer-reviewed research publications, along with several book chapters, and holds multiple patents. Her teaching philosophy integrates blended and experiential learning methodologies to enhance student engagement and practical understanding.
She teaches courses including Computer Applications in Pharmacy, Computer-Aided Drug Design, Medicinal Chemistry, and Regulatory Affairs to undergraduate and postgraduate students. She also actively supervises B.Pharm, M.Pharm, and Ph.D. scholars in research and dissertation projects.
Her research expertise includes molecular docking, molecular dynamics simulations, QSAR studies, synthesis of small molecules, biotechnology techniques (Expression and Purification of Protein), and experimental validation of compounds to identify potent drug candidates. Currently, she is involved in projects involving the application of Artificial Intelligence and CADD in pharmaceutical sector.

Dr. Saroj Kumar brings over 14 years of post-Ph.D. experience in research and teaching at prestigious national and international institutions. Currently, Dr. Kumar serves as Associate Professor and Coordinator, School of Biosciences, at Apeejay Stya University. In addition to his teaching and research responsibilities, he plays a significant leadership role in academic administration, contributing at multiple levels including the School Coordinator to strengthen institutional development and governance.
Dr. Kumar earned his M.Sc. in Biotechnology from BU, Jhansi, and completed his Ph.D. in Biotechnology at CSIR-IGIB, Delhi & Department of Biotechnology, BU, Jhansi. His research and teaching interests encompass a broad spectrum of interdisciplinary areas, including biosensors, cytoskeleton proteins, diagnostic devices, bioprocessing, nanobiotechnology, and bioconjugation technologies.
He possesses specialized expertise in engineering miniaturized processes, actin protein engineering, biosensor development, and bioconjugation techniques. Dr Vyas M Shingatgeri – MVSC, PhD, DICVP, Fellow of Society of Toxicology (SOTX), Member of SOT, STP & STPI – has a vast experience in the field of pathologic basis of the disease and has worked on areas of Oncology and Immuno-Toxicological Pathology during his postgraduate and doctoral research projects.
He started his professional career as Toxicologic Pathologist at Hindustan Ciba-Geigy Research Centre, Mumbai (till December 1984). Thereafter, he worked as a Research Fellow, pursuing his doctoral programme at the Cancer Research Center, Tata Memorial Center. He has been in academics for almost 12 years, teaching undergraduates, post-graduates and doctoral programme students at the Bombay Veterinary College.
Dr Shingatgeri has extensive industry working experience in the field of Laboratory Animal Sciences, Toxicology and Pathology. He is a qualified Laboratory Assessor for NABL Accreditation of Labs for testing and calibrations (ISO 17025), in addition to his role as a Faculty in GLP Trainings organised by NGCMA, especially during 2004 to 2014.

Till recently, as the Director of Commonwealth Educational Media Centre for Asia (CEMCA), he has been working with Electronic media from 1972 onwards in various capacities. Dr Sreedher was the Director of Electronic Media Production Centre of Indira Gandhi National Open University from 1998-2003 and headed two Educational Multimedia Research centres of the UGC at Anna University Chennai and IIT Roorkee from 2003-2006.

Before becoming the Editorial Head of NDTV India, the Hindi News Channel of NDTV, Sanjay was the Chief of Bureau and the National Political Bureau Chief of NDTV. In 2012, he moved to NDTV Worldwide as its Managing Editor. He has conducted workshops for broadcast journalists in Malaysia, Kenya, Tanzania, Bangladesh and in several states in India. He has a strong educational and professional background with B.Tech (ECE) and has recently done his Ph.D. from BIT Mesra, Ranchi (Jharkhand) in Antenna and Microwave Communications. Dr.Sudhakar Ranjan completed his Ph.D from YMCAUST, Faridabad ‘A’ Grade Accredited NAAC State Government University of Haryana. He did his M.Tech with distinction from YMCAIE, Faridabad. He has vast experience of 20 years in academia and industry. He is a professional in emerging technologies like Big Data, Hadoop & Cloud Computing. His areas of research are in Hidden Web, Information Retrieval and Databases. He has also published various research papers in international journals and national conferences. Dr. Ranjan has organised national conferences / workshops / seminars in the capacity of convener / member of organizing committees and coordinator on various area of Computer Science to enhance the skill set of faculties as well as students. He is also the reviewer and editorial / advisory board member of the International Journal of R&D in Engineering Science and Technology.

Prof. Moinuddin is a former Pro-VC, Delhi Technical University and Former Dean, Faculty of Engineering, Jamia Hamdard. A member of several advisory committees, he advises on Science and Technology related pedagogy. He was also Director, Dr B.R. Ambedkar National Institute of Technology (NIT), Jalandhar, Punjab.
