The COVID-19 pandemic, caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus, originated in Wuhan, China, in late 2019. The World Health Organization (WHO) identified it as a global health emergency in January 2020 and classified it as a pandemic by March 11, 2020. By late 2020, confirmed cases had exceeded 71 million, with over 1.6 million deaths recorded globally. Beyond physical illness, the crisis created severe psychological challenges, including heightened anxiety, fear, and sleep disruption. Governments worldwide mandated lockdowns and social distancing, resulting in the closure of educational institutions for approximately 1.5 billion students. While much research has focused on the economic and medical aspects of the virus, fewer studies have addressed the pandemic's psychological impact on the life satisfaction and well-being of those who were not physically infected. The term "satisfaction" originates from Latin, literally translating to the act of "doing enough." When applied to one's existence, life satisfaction represents a sense of peace or acceptance regarding one's current situation, or the realization that personal requirements and desires are being met. Fundamentally, it serves as a subjective appraisal of how someone views the quality of their life. Since this is an evaluative process, it relies heavily on cognitive reasoning rather than just emotion. Consequently, psychological studies have investigated various factors that influence these perceptions, such as financial status, relationship health, gender, and age. Life satisfaction is a vital component of general well-being, characterized by a comprehensive reflection on one's entire life journey. Unlike momentary feelings of joy or happiness, this concept involves a deliberate judgment of how closely a person's reality matches their internal goals, standards, and ambitions. Ultimately, it is defined by a sense of fulfilment and the belief that one's essential needs and personal aspirations have been successfully realized. Life satisfaction is fundamentally defined as a cognitive process through which individuals evaluate their own existence. This assessment often involves a comparison between one's personal goals and their actual accomplishments. As a key metric of psychological health, it is frequently measured by the Satisfaction with Life Scale (SWLS), which captures a person's holistic judgment of their journey. Research suggests that life satisfaction resides within the cognitive domain, representing a broad perception of one's life rather than a narrow reaction to specific events . Conceptually, it can be viewed as the pursuit of hedonic satisfaction; essentially, the smaller the gap between a person's desires and their reality, the higher their reported life satisfaction. While often used synonymously in casual conversation, "life satisfaction" and "happiness" are distinct psychological concepts.  Happiness is often an immediate emotional state.  Life Satisfaction is a long-term, global evaluation. Supporting this distinction, describes it as a comprehensive appraisal of an individual's attitudes and emotions regarding their life at a specific time, spanning a spectrum from negative to positive. Several influential scholars have provided frameworks for this concept:  Veenhoven, Ruut (1996): Defines it as the extent to which a person views the quality of their life favourablyessentially, how much an individual appreciates the life they are living.  : Describe it as a cognitive evaluation of a stable internal state, which is often shaped by broader social influences. Research into international variations in life satisfaction indicates that environmental and economic conditions play a pivotal role in shaping a population's well-being. Generally, residents of wealthier nations report higher satisfaction levels compared Cover

Diabetes mellitus, a chronic life-threatening condition, exposes patients to repeated reminders of mortality through complications, glycemic crises, and long-term organ damage. This paper reviews the current literature on death anxiety (DA) in diabetic populations, its measurement, prevalence, associated factors, and psychological interventions. Evidence suggests that death anxiety is significantly higher in persons with diabetes than in the general population, particularly in those with poor glycemic control, comorbidities, and type 1 diabetes. Key mediators include perceived loss of control, fear of hypoglycemia, and future-oriented complications (e.g., blindness, amputation, cardiovascular death). Cognitivebehavioural and meaning-centred interventions show preliminary efficacy in reducing DA and improving self-management. Gaps remain in longitudinal studies and culturally diverse samples.

This research paper explores the levels of aggression among female research students at Bhupendra Narayan Mandal University (BNMU), Madhepura, Bihar, and examines its relationship with their mental health. Utilizing a cross-sectional design, the study employed the Buss-Perry Aggression Questionnaire (BPAQ) to measure aggression and the Depression, Anxiety, and Stress Scale-21 (DASS-21) to assess mental health. A sample of 150 female PhD and postgraduate research students was surveyed. Results indicated moderate levels of aggression, with verbal aggression being the most prevalent subscale. Significant positive correlations were found between aggression scores and mental health indicators, particularly depression and anxiety. Higher aggression was associated with poorer mental health, influenced by factors such as academic stress and socioeconomic background. The findings underscore the need for mental health interventions tailored to female research scholars in rural Indian universities. Implications for policy and future research are discussed.

The present article is based on the life and contributions of Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jilani. The article discussed the masterful exploration of the mind, emotions, motivations, and inner conflicts that define our existence.it is highlighted that at the core of Jilani's psychology lies the concept of jihad al-nafs-the greater struggle against the ego (nafs). In an era when external conquests defined valour, he proclaimed that true heroism unfolds in the soul's arena. "Jihad fought against the self is more important than jihad fought against oppression with the sword," he taught, elevating introspection over aggression. The nafs , in his view, is a shapeshifter: at its lowest (ammara), it urges base desires; at its highest (mutma'inna), it aligns with divine will. Jilani's genius lay in mapping this progression, urging seekers to cultivate selfknowledge as the first step toward liberation.

was born at a time when the British hold on India was gaining strength with every passing day and the Mughal rule was at the verge of its collapse. once he starts attaining maturity, an inquisitive mind of his, compelled him to think about his surroundings. Muhammad Yusuf Abbasi (1988) in his book mentioned that one of the most important questions that needed to be addressed in that fast changing political and social environment of India was the future of Hindu-Muslim relations under the British rule. Sayyid has his attention towards the issue and his first impression was that Hindu Muslim unity should be the order of the day. He believed that "Hindu-Muslim harmony was a living experience" and he stood for amicable relations between the two communities as he considered them as the "children of the same land". Abdul Hamid in an article (1961 mentioned that Sayid was of the view that the two groups should "cultivate mutual trust and tolerance" as "in this alone lay their salvation". To him "religion is personal" but "humanity is common". He wanted both Hindus and Muslims to "live together, suffer together and die together" and to "behave as charitable neighbours". Sayid Ahmad Khan argued that the prosperity of India required that the two people should move hand in hand for the mutual good of their country. One could not find anything against Hindus or Hinduism in Sayid's writings, and he always tried to find out opportunities to secure cultural collaboration between the two communities. In his famous pamphlet Risalah-i-Asbab-i-Baghawat-i-Hind, he focused on the rights of Indians as a whole and not only about the Muslim population (Sayyid Ahmed Khan,1873). Altaf Hussain Hali (1957) pointed out that Syed Ahmad Khan went to the extent that to avoid disharmony he asked Muslims to avoid, as much as possible, the slater of cow. Syed Iqbal Ali narrated that for Sayid Ahmad, common territory forced upon all natives of India the responsibility of mutual cooperation and unanimity to guarantee the common good. While raising the questions before Hindus and Muslims he asked, "Do you live in any country other than India? Don't you get cremated on or buried under the same soil?" He added that if they did so then they should remember that "Hindu and Muslim are merely religious terms". To him, "the Hindus, the Muslims, and even the Christians constitute one nation by virtue of living in the same country". It is quoted by Hafeez Malik (1970) in Sir Sayid Ahmad Khan's Contribution to the Development of Muslim that Hindus and Muslims of India could not survive in isolation, he dubbed them as two eyes of a beautiful bride. In his famous statement he commented, "India is like a beautiful bride blessed by two attractive eyes-the Hindus and the Muslims. If they maintain enmity or hypocritical relations with each other, then this beautiful bride will look cross-eyed, and if one destroys the other, [the bride] will look oneeyed. So! Inhabitants of India, do as you will-make this bride cross-eyed or one-eyed [or preserve both her eyes]". Hadi Hussain (1970) mentioned that he considered himself as a "liberal" and not a "conservative" and thought that it would be "foolish" on his part if he would not work for the welfare of the Indian community.

It is researched that treatment of mental disorders is not possible only by Applied psychopharmacotherapy and psychotherapy. Now a days psychologists are giving attention towards other interventions. Recently it has been emphasized the effects of nutrition on mental status, which may be an important aspect of the prevention of many mental disorders and, at the same time, may lead to a reduction in the proportion of people with mental disorders. KEY WORDS: Mental Health, Mental Disorders, Mental well-being, psychodietetics and nutripsychiatry INTRODUCTION Concepts in mental health Mental health is a state of mental well-being that enables people to cope with the stresses of life, realize their abilities, learn well and work well, and contribute to their community. It is an integral component of health and well-being that underpins our individual and collective abilities to make decisions, build relationships and shape the world we live in. Mental health is a basic human right. And it is crucial to personal, community and socioeconomic development. Mental health is more than the absence of mental disorders. It exists on a complex continuum, which is experienced differently from one person to the next, with varying degrees of difficulty and distress and potentially very different social and clinical outcomes. Mental health conditions include mental disorders and psychosocial disabilities as well as other mental states associated with significant distress, impairment in functioning, or risk of self-harm. People with mental health conditions are more likely to experience lower levels of mental well-being, but this is not always or necessarily the case. Definitions: Mental health is a state of well-being that affects how a person thinks, feels, and acts. It's a basic human right that's important at every stage of life. Some characteristics of mental health include: • Coping with stress: Being able to deal with the normal stresses of life • Realizing abilities: Being aware of your own abilities

This research is attempting to understand the relationships among the well-being of social networking sites (NSSs) users working women and their marital adjustment. The review of literature is done in order to understand the well-being and marital satisfaction of working women, who are social networking sites users. Lastly with the help of previous researches the relationship of social networking sites with well-being, occupational stress and marital satisfaction is explored. It is very clear from the result that social networking sites affects more wellbeing of working women rather than their marital adjustment. In other words, it can say that there is less well being in working women due to frequently use of social networking sites and due to it their marital adjustment is affected also.

Emotional stability is one of the seventh important indicators of superior mental health. Ability to see in true perspective freely is also important characteristic of emotional stability. Emotionally stable person knows how to face reality. This is freedom from prejudice, revising preconceived notion of long standing concerning one's abilities, one's friends and the value of certain relationships. They realize their limitations and this restrict them from acute frustration. Emotional stable personalities are capable of confronting frustrating situations. The manner in which one reacts to such situations indicates his level of emotional stability. Emotional stability is one of the effective determinants of the personality patterns. It is helpful to control the growth of adolescent development. Stable emotional behaviour at any level reflects the fruits of the normal emotional development. An individual who is able to maintain his/her emotions stable and under control even in extreme circumstances, might still be emotionally stunned or be childish in his/her behaviour sometimes. The present study has concluded that tribal students have high level of emotional maturity and particularly tribal girls' college students have highest emotional stability than their counterpart. While it is also found out that non-tribal boys' college students have shown highest emotional stability than non-tribal girls.

AIDS is a major public health problem with deep psycho-social consequences like stress, anxiety, depression, maladjustment and socioeconomic status. Ignorance of safe sexual practices is a major cause. The worldwide data show that adolescence and youth are most vulnerable to HIV / AIDS due to stress arising from psychological, economic and social environments. One of the characteristics of adolescence is unpredictable behavior. Use of tobacco, sex and alcohol combined with poverty make the situation more vulnerable. It is pointed out that anxiety and embarrassment about sex also prevent to protect them from risk behavior. Most of the women are at risk of HIV / AIDS because they have a very poor self-image and uncomfortable with their sexuality. On the basis of the results, it is pointed out in the present paper that HIV/AIDS is a chronic disease and serious threat to the humanity also no possible medication to it has been invented yet. The only tool we can use against it is the behavior modification and psychological Adjustment of the patient itself. Most important researches show that psychological factors such as personality types and psychological needs may underlie many mental illnesses are physical. Highly personalized and stigmatizing nature makes the present investigation highly sensitive one. Therefore, aim of the present investigation is to study the interrelationships among stress, adjustment and socioeconomic status.

Social Network Sites (SNSs) use such as face book, WhatsApp, Instagram, twitters and so on are deeply ingrained into daily lives of people. Especially adolescents spend much time on social network sites and this would become their part of their daily life. It is important to understand the nature of social network sites use among adolescents and its influence on their mental health and emotional intelligence. Gender wise research on teenagers' use of SNSs showed that females use SNSs for chatting with their peer group, whereas males use SNSs for social compensation, learning, and social identity gratifications and they would prefer to unveil their personal information than compared to female counterpart. Correa, studies suggested that usage pattern differed in comparison with gender as a function of personality, thus male with neurotic traits were more likely than female neurotic traits to use SNSs frequently. Results of the present paper confer previous studies where it is pointed out that that a young female who repeatedly used SNSs, more than 5 hours a day had showed changes in her behavior where in use of SNSs interfered in their personal and professional life.

The Universal Declaration of Human Rights, 1948 states that "All men are born free and are equally entitled to have their basic human rights." But it is not implying on the trafficked girl who are indulged in a forced prostitution. The observational study of two girl prostitutes, who were rescued from different brothel, shows the mental and physical sufferings of brothels and how the spirit of revenge occurs in them. Through this case study we want to show that it is urgent to listen to girls prostitute's voice as they are detrimentally affected by an industry based on violence, domination and inequality. The outcomes of this study clearly demonstrate that girl prostitution is not only a form of violence; it is also a system and an industry, which impact are far more detrimental that we can see, because they are invisible and entrenched in mentalities.

It is discussed in the present paper that pandemic is both exposing and amplifying pre-existing inequalities between women and men. While men are suffering higher mortality rates, women are especially affected by the economic and social fallout. Women's role as shock absorbers during crises such as COVID-19 sustains families and communities, but it often has lasting negative implications for their economic security and autonomy. It is concluded that the COVID-19 pandemic has clearly shown us how a "virus" can negatively impact our lives even in the 21 st century and simultaneously made us realize that the greatest assets of mankind are health, peace, love, solidarity, ingenuity, and knowledge.
