About Language Assistance
Federal law requires some areas, including Bernalillo County, to provide language help during elections for voters who speak Spanish, Native American, Asian, or Alaska Native languages. This ensures everyone has a fair chance to vote, even if they don’t speak or read English well.

We are committed to making sure every voter can take part in elections, no matter what language they speak. We provide language assistance for:
Spanish
Navajo
Keres
Tiwa
Vietnamese
You can get help in these languages during early voting and on Election Day, either at the polling location or over the phone. Ask for language assistance when you check in to vote. You can also call our office at

to request language assistance over the phone.
