Orientation
Completing the Makerspace Orientation is required. The Orientation is an introduction to the space, equipment, and the safety procedures of the Makerspace. In order to successfully complete the orientation and be eligible to use the Makerspace, a user agreement must signed to have access to the space in the future.

You will need an appointment to use the CNC Router. During your first CNC Router appointment a

Only approved materials sold by the Makerspace may be used with the 3D printers.
Overnight printing is not permitted.
The library cannot guarantee item quality or stability, nor confidentiality of designs. Any finishing steps (e.g. removing rafts/supports, sanding, removing paper backing, etc.) is the responsibility of the user.

You may not use the laser cutter unsupervised. To use the laser cutter, you must make an appointment with a Makerspace employee who will assist you with your project.
Never leave a laser cutting project unattended. You must be present for the entirety of your project.

A variety of hand tools are available for use in the Makerspace. Users may bring their own hand tools into the Makerspace, but employees may choose not to allow certain tools on a case-by-case basis. Users must present tools to Makerspace staff upon arrival.
Users are prohibited from using tools for unintended purposes.
Return Makerspace tools to their original location and notify staff if a tool is broken or missing.
Power tools other than those provided by the Makerspace are prohibited.
Spray painting is not permitted in the Makerspace.
Prototypes may not be left unattended unless arrangements are made with staff in writing.

Heat Press & Sublimation
Service details
The heat press and sublimation are available on a first come, first served basis.

Turn off the heat press and unplug for safety.
Never place hands directly inside the printer or heat presses.
Use heat safe gloves when handling object being taken out of the heat press.
Sublimation blanks may not be left unattended while being pressed or cooling.
