The Family Member Employment Assistance Program (FMEAP) is designed to provide support and resources to family members, including spouses, of military service members to help them pursue and sustain meaningful employment despite the challenges of the military lifestyle.

Eligibility
The primary beneficiaries of the Family Member Assistance Program (FMEAP):
Military spouses of active-duty service members.
Dependent family member of active-duty service members.
FMEAP can also assist:
Veterans and family members of veterans
DOD civilians and family members of DOD civilians
Active Duty Service Members as referred by the Transition Readiness Program (TRP)
Getting Started
Connect with your local installation’s FMEAP office. This will allow you to schedule an introductory meeting and learn more about the program. Both In-person and virtual meetings are available.
Attend FMEAP workshops. Many installations offer workshops or seminars on topics like resume building, interview techniques, and job search strategies.
Register for the Military Spouse Employment Partnership. If you're interested in portable career opportunities, this program is essential. Registration can provide you with access to a network of employer partners.
Explore MyCAA. If you're eligible and interested in pursuing further education, start the application process for the MyCAA scholarship.
Stay engaged. Join the FMEAP mailing list or social media groups to stay updated on upcoming events, job fairs, and other opportunities.

Military Spouse Education & Career Opportunities (MySECO)
The Department of Defense Spouse Education and Career Opportunities program provides Education and career guidance to military spouses worldwide and offers comprehensive resources and tools.
My Career Advancement Account Scholarship Program (MyCAA)
The My Career Advancement Account Scholarship is a workforce development program that provides up to $4,000 in financial assistance to eligible military spouses.
Military Spouse Employment Partnership (MSEP)
The Military Spouse Employment Partnership connects military spouses with hundreds of partner employers who have committed to recruit, hire, promote and retain military spouses.
Military Spouse Licensure Reimbursement (MSLR)
If your career requires a professional license or certification, you may be eligible for up to $1,000 in reimbursement for licensure and certification costs resulting from relocations within the United States or from OCONUS to stateside.

Spouse’s Transition and Readiness Seminar (S.T.A.R.S)
This workshop is designed to provide support and resources for military spouses as they navigate various aspects of transition, particularly during periods of relocation or when their service member is transitioning out of the military. Contact the FMEAP office for workshop availability in your area.
