How do I request volunteers for an event on or off base?
Visit the

and submit an online request for volunteers. You will indicate in your request whether the event is on base or at an offsite location.
Who do I contact to receive my Letter of Appreciation (LOA)?
Please contact the agency that you volunteered for to receive your LOA. If the event was coordinated by the Single Marine Program, please email LejeuneSMPVolunteerProgram@usmc-mccs.org about your Letter of Appreciation.
How do I earn the Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal (MOVSM)?

How do I track my hours for the President’s Volunteer Service Award?
Please keep a personal record of your volunteer hours for each month. Please track each organization you volunteer with and the number of hours you provide. At the end of the calendar year, you will have an opportunity to submit your hours for the President’s Volunteer Service Award here on our Volunteer Coordinator web page.
Who is eligible to volunteer?
Any service member with the permission of your command, civilian/DOD employees and their family members.

The Single Marine Program (SMP) serves as the voice for single, unaccompanied Marines and any other single active duty servicemember in identifying QOL concerns, developing QOL initiatives, and providing recommendations through advocacy, recreational activities, special events, and community involvement.
The program encourages single/unaccompanied Marines to provide input and ideas toward programming for SMP component areas:
