S’intéresser à la vie culturelle dans le Moyen Âge latin, c’est être inévitablement confronté, tô... more S’intéresser à la vie culturelle dans le Moyen Âge latin, c’est être inévitablement confronté, tôt ou tard, à des florilèges : ils sont alors l’un des véhicules de transmission du savoir les plus courants. Mais leur nombre, leur diversité, leur teneur mouvante, défient tout projet de nomenclature. Ainsi, bien qu’il existe nombre d’études approfondies sur telle ou telle catégorie de florilèges, on manque encore d’un instrument de compréhension préliminaire : non pas une « encyclopédie » des florilèges médiévaux, mais un guide, une « boussole » qui puisse aider l’historien à entrer et s’orienter dans ces sources bien particulières. Lors de cette première réunion, l’Atelier des florilèges médiévaux latin entend discuter et définir le périmètre d’une étude transversale sur les florilèges, afin de concevoir cet outil méthodologique. Une seconde réunion, en 2019, doit aboutir à la publication d’un volume en forme de manuel sur les florilèges médiévaux latins.
