Penny A. Pasque,
(Ph.D., University of Michigan) is a professor at The Ohio State University and considered one of the leading qualitative research experts in human sciences and education. Notably, she received the 2026 Egon G. Guba Award for Outstanding Contributions to Qualitative Research from the
American Educational Research Association
‘s Qualitative SIG, and will give the Guba lecture in 2027 in Toronto.
In addition, Pasque was named a 2025 Fellow of the Association for the Study of Higher Education (ASHE) for her sustained integrity, advancement of knowledge, mentoring, and service.
Pasque is an Faculty Affiliate at
CRAIG: Center on Responsible Artificial Intelligence and Governance
, a multi-university center; and serves on a number of grants and contracts. She serves on the board for the International Association for Qualitative Inquiry (IAQI), and is affiliated with The Convergence Institute – Convergence AI Consortium, an ethical, intellectual think tank to explore, interrogate, and shape how AI intersects with our political and methodological worlds. She collaboratively serves on a $4 mil grant from the Department of Defense, along with other grants and contracts.
