Lithium-ion batteries stand at the forefront of this transition, necessitating sophisticated battery management systems (BMS) to enhance their performance and lifespan. This research presents an innovative simulation of a 4S3P lithium-ion battery pack using MATLAB R2023b, designed to refine BMS capabilities by employing advanced mathematical modelling and computational intelligence. The simulation meticulously analyses critical operational metrics such as state of charge (SOC), state of health (SOH), temperature variations, and electrical behaviour under diverse load scenarios, offering deep insights into the intricate dynamics of lithium-ion batteries in EV applications. The results corroborate the simulation model's accuracy in reflecting actual battery pack performance and underscore significant improvements in BMS strategies, especially concerning predictive maintenance and adaptive charging techniques. By seamlessly integrating computational intelligence into BMS, this study lays the groundwork for more durable, efficient, and intelligent energy storage systems in electric vehicles, marking a significant stride in e-mobility technology.

The objective of the work was development of unmanned aerial vehicle and implementation of the deep learning, image processing tools in the quad-copter based surveillance system. Development of the quad-copter was done by using necessary components such as Arms and power distribution board with help of fasteners. And the brushless dc motors are fitted with electronic speed controllers. And the suitable propellers are fitted to the motors, from which thrust is obtained. The IoT allows objects to be sensed or controlled remotely over existing network infrastructure, creating opportunities for pure integration of the physical world into computer-based systems, and resulting in improved efficiency, accuracy and economic benefit in addition to reduced human intervention. This technology has many applications like Solar cities, Smart villages, Micro grids and Solar Street lights and so on. This monitoring is done through raspberry pi using flask framework. Smart Monitoring displays daily usage of renewable energy. This helps the user to analysis of energy usage. Analysis impacts on the renewable energy usage and electricity issues.

In present work single layer and multi-layer Artificial Neural Networks (ANNs) were developed usi... more In present work single layer and multi-layer Artificial Neural Networks (ANNs) were developed using MATLAB Version 8.3.0 (R2014a), to estimate solar global radiation for Hubballi by considering geographical parameters (standard longitude, elevation, declination angle), climatographical parameters like relative sunshine hours and wind velocity and day of the year in different combination as input parameters, average global solar radiation (2002-2011) collected form Typical Metrological Year (TMY) as target data for the network. The target value was trained in the ratio of 70:15:15, using Levenberg Marquardt back propagation algorithm. The results of the model were analyzed using statistical parameters like Root Mean Square Error (RMSE), percentage Root Mean Square Error (% RMSE), Mean Biased Error (MBE) and hypothesis test.The results showed that ANN model with 3 layer 10 neurons exhibited least value of RMSE (less than 5 percent), MBE and SSE. A unit of energy conserved is more valuable than the unit of energy generated. The project discoursed is an energy efficient street lighting system which has been fabricated and tested. The PIR sensor used in the project detects any human or no human intervention and generates a signal which elicits the microcontroller and further actions are executed. The LDR used detects the presence of sunlight and activates the whole projects only during night time making it automatic. The LED lamps were used for illumination which are most energy efficient compared to other luminaries.
