Remote Learning, Student and Faculty Support Resources
While the University operates remotely during the remainder of the spring semester, a wide array of resources are available to serve students either online or over the phone. We are here to assist you even if we are not on campus!
Online Academic Resources
Blackboard –
For information on using Blackboard, the University’s learning management system, visit the

Cheng Library
The Cheng Library facility is closed but librarians are ready to assist with a variety of resources in support of online learning including:
24/7 Chat Reference
Chat with a WP librarian during regular business hours or get help from a professional librarian after hours.
Virtual Research Consultations
Schedule an online research consultation if you need more involved assistance, or want a one-on-one session with a librarian.
Databases, E-books, & Streaming Videos
Access the library’s wide array of articles through its databases, and its collection of almost 200,000 e-books and large collection of streaming videos at home. Please contact the library if you need help finding or using these resources.

Sometimes it’s helpful to see a topic reviewed step by step. Get some additional explanations or practice problems when trying to learn more independently.

– Video lessons and practice materials on a wide range of subjects. Lessons are instructional and step by step for math, sciences, computer science, some humanities, economics and NCLEX or PRAXIS exam study.
Duolingo

Memrise
are free language practice apps and websites. They don’t provide formal lessons, but are great for motivated practice!
CrashCourse
– Online lessons across a wide range of humanities, social sciences, science and arts topics. Videos are accessible, free and designed for you to take notes and learn!
LinkedIn Learning –
Access this through the apps button on

. Use the search bar for a topic or browse for courses. This is also a good starting point to learn how to navigate Blackboard and other online tools.

Tutor.com Meeting spaces –
Use the “Join a Meeting” tab at the top of tutor.com to schedule a remote study session with classmates. This is available to all students once you click into our Tutor.com site from the main page of Blackboard and includes chat, sharing a screen, file sharing, and whiteboard.

: Spring appointments with academic advisors are being held remotely. Talking with your advisor on schedule will help ensure you stay on track and are able to register for fall classes during your registration timetable. It’s a good idea to start by emailing your advisor to schedule an appointment.
