Experienced support for older adults
Chicago Methodist Senior Services (CMSS) is a non-profit, non-sectarian organization, providing care, services, and programs to older adults across Chicagoland. We work on the northside of Chicago, and in the northern and western suburbs to help older adults thrive.
We are dedicated to helping every individual we serve live their best life possible. Guided by a commitment to dignity, agency, and kindness, we place older adults at the heart of everything we do.
OUR SERVICES
Hartwell Place
Hartwell Place provides assisted living memory care and a memory care Day Club in an intimate and supportive environment. Located on the northside of Chicago, we help seniors feel at home with a vibrant and engaged lifestyle.
SASI Home Care
SASI Home Care helps seniors manage the tasks of everyday living while staying comfortable in their homes. Our highly-trained caregivers offer hourly, overnight, or live-in care for older adults to help with the challenges of aging.
Senior Connections
Senior Connections matches trained volunteers with older adults to create mutually beneficial intergenerational friendships. This program connects neighbors in communities across the northern suburbs and northside of Chicago.
West Suburban Senior Center
Our senior center in Bellwood is a welcoming community with knowledgeable, dedicated, and caring staff. We offer events, activities, and programs for seniors every weekday. We also provide lunch for a small, suggested donation.
LGBT+ Program
The LGBT+ program serves LGBT+ older adults and allies in the western suburbs. We create a supportive community with opportunities to connect. The group meets weekly, with in-person and virtual meeting options.
Affordable Senior Housing
On Chicago’s northside, we provide independent housing for older adults in two buildings. Winwood and Glenwood Apartments provide seniors with below-market rate apartments in a convenient and beautiful neighborhood.

LGBT+ Long-Term Care Equality Index High Performer
The Long-Term Care Equality Index (LEI) recognized Hartwell Place and Glenwood and Winwood Apartments as High Performers for promoting equitable treatment and inclusion for LGBT+ residents, visitors, and employees.
